Lisa Haythornthwaite, known as Lisa Haythornthwaite

Lisa Haythornthwaite used this service towards the end of life to support her fight with cancer. Lisa had a zest of life and tragically was taken away far too early with cancer. Throughout her fight with this disease Lisa got support, and spent the last 10 days of her life here. This enabled the correct care, pain management and professional assistance was available when required My beautiful wife Lisa and mummy to our daughter Isabelle passed away peacefully in her sleep after a fifteen month battle against an incurable, aggressive and rare cancer known as 'NUT Midline Carcinoma'. Lisa was an incredibly intelligent driven and passionate woman, she extended her professional career whilst working within the NHS and gained a Masters Degree in Haematology at the University of Edinburgh. In 2009 Lisa became the Chief BMS Transfusion of the Haematology department in Ipswich Hospital Her life and soul was devoted to horses, Isabelle and Peter Haythornthwaite.
